LOCATION
Shelton Ranch « is situated a short
30 miles northwest of Meeker and 15 miles south of Maybell, the
ranch is located in the path of the elk winter migration. The terrain
is sage and juniper covered hills at about 6400 feet elevation, with
some high mountain fields in the valleys rising to 8000 feet with scrub oak and service berry.
From Denver take I-70 West to Rifle. Exit
at Rifle North on Colorado 13
toward Meeker. At intersection 2 miles before reaching Meeker, turn
West onto Colorado Hwy. 64. Go one mile and turn North on paved road,
RBC Rd. 7, Strawberry. RBC Rd 7 becomes MC Rd 57 at the county line.
Continue on for 11 miles and turn left on Ranch Road and go 1 mile to Ranch
House & lodge.
From I-80, west of Rawlins, WY, turn South on WY 789, toward
Baggs, WY. This road becomes Colorado 13 at the state line. Continue
to Craig, CO, turn West on US Hwy 40 toward Maybell, CO. About
28 miles west of Craig, turn South on paved road MC Rd. 57, towards
Price Creek. Continue on MC Rd. 57 for 13 miles and turn right on
Ranch Road and go 1 mile to Ranch House & lodge..
There is RV parking with electric hookup
or space for tent accommodations.
